Safe Sitter

Is a two-day course for adolescents between the ages of 11 and 13. Attendees will receive hands-on practice in basic lifesaving techniques from trained Safe SitterĀ® Instructors, so they are prepared to respond to crisis situations.

The student will be given all the materials they need for class. The next session is schedule for April 17 & 24th.

Safe Sitter was started in 1980 by Dr Patricia Keener in Indianapolis and has been taught throughout the US and England. There have been over 450,000 graduates.

The students:

1) learn what to do if an infant or child chokes or needs CPR.

2) learn what to say to 911

3) learn both how to screen and refuse jobs and act in a business like manner

4) will receive tips on how to prevent injuries while sitting

5) will learn some ways to deal with child behavior issues

6) will learn some ways to deal with first aid issues that might arise while sitting.
