As the kids were getting the snack ready for the easter bunny and deciding where to put it on Easter night, before bed, I had a thought.

How dare the easter bunny thoughtlessly bring calorie and fat laden temptations into our homes?  As for us, we are very kind and think about the bunny's health and figure,  leaving him only carrots, and at our house, he's even getting organic carrots this year...

He must shake with evil laughter as he hippity hops around leaving mini eggs and solid bunnies in places for our children to find in the wee morning hours...He must know as he eats his vitamin A laden carrots that he is leaving our children with very unhealthy treats that will likely be eaten before 8am, causing major hyperactivity as well as major plaque, and something for us parents to battle with our sugared up children over, all day long and into the following week.

He must know that as he hides jelly beans and peanut butter eggs, that there are those parents who will feel the need to protect their innocent children and their teeth, by secretly removing treats from their baskets later in the day and hiding in the laundry room to eat them themselves, thus putting themselves at risk of weight gain, pimples and candy addiction.

The easter bunny is not our friend, he is an unsupportive and enabling little critter...He is a bad, very bad rabbit...To teach him a lesson, I put those healthy organic carrots back inside the fridge and put out some enticing, calorie rich, chocolate eggs that he was required to eat before dawn....I sure showed him!!
