SO, after getting my thyroid (also have PCOS) under control in Feb (with meds) i asked the doctor that HAD BEEN treating me about Clomid. To which, she REFUSED (she said) because their was no reason for it because she knows i'm ovulating (though I don't know how she can claim she knows this because i have NEVER had a CD 21 progestrone test done) and because "Clomid makes you gain weight" (which can be a side effect). She said i have to "give it time (meaning 6 months or more!)" then she said something that irrated both DH and I "well your only 21 don't rush it" Um, first, i'm almost 22, second we have been TTC 3 YEARS not 3 months, and third, she should keep her personal opinion of when i should ttc to herself. After being PISSED over that (though I don't think i showed it), she ordered a SA for DH (which, until this point he had been able to avoid haha!)

Well, that came back low (15 million) but not super low (but is kind of a downer, it's just one MORE thing we have to deal with). I felt devasted at the time thogh, he doesn't drink, do drugs (rx or illegal), is of average weight, and doesn't take hot baths, use saunas, or hot tubs. He does smoke, which the doctor said COULD help (which he has cut out since Feb.) and is now taking vitamins.

Yesterday I went to a OBGYN who specializes in infertility. When we got there i gave them some paperwork they had sent me in the mail, did some insurance stuff things like that, waited a while (probably about 30 mins). There was a mom there with a little girl who would JUST NOT stop screaming about every little thing (she was even screaming in the exam room, could hear her all the way down the hall). Then they called me back, first I went to a room with a nurse (or medical assistant?) who asked me some general questions, family history, and did my BP and weight, stuff like that. Then went back to the waiting room. Waited a while more and got called back, sat in the doctors office. He asked a little about what i had done, stuff like that (turns out he knows my other doctor which may or may not be a good thing),

Then, he said that Clomid is probably a good choice for me (i didn't bring it up, he did), and the good thing about me being 21 is that i probably have a lot of good eggs left. He said he wanted to do a u/s (and i was due for a pap) of the uterine cavity. So we did that and evidently i have a heart shaped uterus, but i don't know how bad it is. They talked about doing a laproscopy to correct it, but I think not, I haven't ever had surgery and I don't want to, I don't want them cutting on me. Also talked about doing a hystercopy (which i may consider doing).

On the u/s it didn't look that bad (my uterus), i mean you could tell it wasn't straight across but i couldn't tell how deep it was divided. We are doing a xray later to see it better. I also am having some blood work done whenever I start my cycle (with the Provera), i should start around the 15th -18th.

He also gave me Glumetza and told me to take 2000 mg a day and gave me a week's supply, I called the pharmacy to see how much it was, OMG it was almost 900 dollars! (for a 3 month supply) that's like 200-300 dollars a month FORGET THAT. I asked the pharamcist if there was a generic (who said generic was met, which already took 1000mg of), i also researched it online (said same thing) BUT then i called the doctor's office who told me there was no generic? I think i'll finish the week's supply he gave me then either take 2000mg of my met (500mg pills) or order some from the pharmacy (1000mg pills). SO that's what's going on with me.
