I'm back, hopefully things will get back to normal

 I am sorry I have not been around much in the last few months.  Things have been very hectic and well stressful is the best word that comes to mind.

Around the Mid-Summer my husband had gotten into an accident, he was run off the road by some asshole while riding his bike to work.  He was hurt pretty bad and ended up losing his job in the process.  He has had several problems and misdiagnosis over this to include a hernia surgery due to the accident.  Even after all that he is still in a lot of pain and having a lot of problems.

During all of this we knew with him out of work we were going to have a rough go of things.  We knew that paying rent and all of that was going to be rough and we may need some help paying the bills.  We sought out help for paying the rent and was approved for assistance.  Well you would think all would be well, however we found out just how shitty the management company who ran our apartment building really was.  All they had to do was fill out one single form and send it back to the help agency and they would receive so much a month towards our rent.  Simple enough job right, well you would think?  Yeah right, they lost the form twice and in the process changed apartment management 3 times and had a slew of other problems.  With all of this we ended up with eviction notice after eviction notice.  And it wasn't just us, but others in the complex who had paid their rent.  The place went to total hell.  We think they were trying to get rid of everyone.

Also in the process of all of this, we had city inspection come out to inspect out apt.  There were things that were broken since the day we moved in and with how crooked they were being over the rental assistance and keeping books (oh we found out that they had two sets of books as well) that we decided to take some action against them.  Well city inspection came out and we filed a report.  That is about the time that really starting giving us problems about the assistance and tried to court evict us.  Well we had the inspector come out again and again we filed a report, except for this time they got fined and in the process this is when we found out about the second set of books.  As well as we found out that the help agencies did send them money and they were just sitting on the checks.  This got this case thrown out of court.  And then on a follow up visit from the city inspector they got fined again.  Yeah they got fined twice but yet never fixed a single fucking thing.  And in the process they went through another management change.  Comes to find out that they tend to hire thieves.  One manger that got fired stole $11,000.00 in one month in rent money.  Don't get me started on what happened to the rest of them.

So here we are with my husband still laid up and no idea what is going on and more problems with our home enviorment than we can deal with.  This also caused me to start going through depression and having physical health issues myself.  Thank the Goddess my bil is an herbalist.  We emailed him and he made up some herbals that have really helped with this. 

But still all of our problems remained.  Then finally we got our Tax Return.  Finally we have the money to get a handle on things.  Rather than trying to make things right with out old apt building (like things would ever be right with those crooked bastards) we said fuck it, it is time to move.  So the day it arrived we put a deposit on a new apartment.  We only moved two blocks away, and the apt still isn't the greatest, but at least it isn't that same management company that ran the other one.  Also the other apartment was only a one bedroom and we are a family of three.  The new one is a two bedroom and is also cheaper than the one bedroom.  So the move will make things a little better for us financially as well as my son can finally have his own room.  Also maintenance seems to be a little better than it was at the old one. 

Also, even injured my husband has been looking for work, but not finding anything.  He has just enrolled to go back to school.  He is looking forward to it and with that some other new financial opportunities are coming up as well.  Also I just enrolled my little one in preK for the fall.  Finally I may get some peace and quiet to work on the things that I want to in life.  Before all of this really happened I was starting to work on an Etsy Store and a few other things.  But with all that has been happening, well all that had to get put on the back burner as well as my Belly Dance and my responsibilities here at CM.  Now that things are settling down I am hoping to get back to all of this.  I miss all of my friends at CM and those of who who have been on the phone with me through all of this offering your support thank you.  If it wasn't for some of the wonderful friends I have made here, I am not sure I would have made it through all of this without totally losing my mind. 

My comeback here might be a little slow, but just know that I am back and will be increasing my activity as things get more and more settled.  I have missed you all and am glad to be able to come back to everyone.
