A wonderfully busy day is ahead....  This morning begins the OCHEC Convention where home-schoolers from all over the area traverse in search of next years curriculum as well as hopes for bits of useful wisdom gleaned from one of the various speakers throughout the two day event on topics that range from  Simplicity as a Way of LIfe, Using Home Eduction to Prepare Boys for Manhood, to A Home Educators Guide to Planning and Scheduling.  For me, the search for perfection is never ending though I highly doubt I'll ever reach it.  There's something about being human that seems to always get in the way... hmm...

Luckily, I have few items needed for next year.  My eldest sons material is handed down to the next child with very few tweaks needed, and so on down the line to the 4th and youngest child.  All in all, I purchase for the eldest while filling in where needed for the younger boys.  The filling in is usually done for the sake of individual interests.  To keep sir boredom away, I'm always searching for things to read that will maintain interest.  With boys, it's very important, or at least it is with my four.

Last, but definitely not least, my home is up for sale and has been since mid-January.  We have had a couple of bites, but not many.  I'm hoping with the change of season bringing to life my front and backyard gardens it will be more attractive to those with the spirit to tend them.  Before everything looked so drab, but now, the honey locust trees are in full bloom giving the appearance of a wall of flowers on my fence; the giant phlox  and peonies are about to bloom, and my vegetable beds have all sprouted promising a grand harvest.  Inside and out my home has been repainted while the downstairs received new carpet, and the upstairs awaits its turn on Monday.  There isn't much left to do except tear it all down and rebuild from scratch.

All I can say is, "Please, please!  Someone fall in love with my home and yard!"  I have found my dream property providing space for the biggest garden ever with boundless room to grow; a place my boys can run, fish, hunt, build forts, ride dirt bikes, or whatever their hearts desire; a place where the views never end of the countryside dotted with other small farms.  The house is much smaller than my current home, but the children will be outside most of the time anyway with exception to time spent in study.  Also, the boys won't be home with us forever and what would I do with such a large home after they have grown?  The small farm home needs to be completely redone, but I'm up for the task loving to do that sort of thing.  It may be a mistake, but I've already been redoing the home in my head and placing/planting the garden patch.  So, pray for us and the sell of our home and the property mentioned will still be available when we do sell!
