So, I have decided to take more control over my life in becoming healthy. January 25, 2010, I decided to quit smoking. But, in order to fully succeed, I knew that I had to do something to keep my mind from thinking about cigarettes. This is where eletronic cigarettes came in and they didn't last long.
I was able to ween myself from nicotine and got to a point where I felt like I didn't need the e-cigs anymore. But, again, I knew I had to shift my mind over to something else to keep thinking about the dreaded cigarette. This is when my journey with P90X began.
I have always wanted to get back in shape and earn my pre-pregnant body back. Every time I saw the P90X infomercial on tv, I had to watch it. I even programmed my satellite to auto-tune to the next airing of the 30 minute commercial. I was hooked; all I needed was the program.
Now, I am in my 2nd week. I'm feeling stronger, better about myself, and I can hold my tummy in a little tighter. Just prior to P90X, I was doing Power 90 as suggested by some people because I was so out of shape. I quickly put that down because I felt like I could do the more extreme workout. All in all, I have about a month of working out total that I have completed. Two weeks of that month has been with P90X. I have lost about 3 lbs and 1 inch so far, gained a noticeable amount of strength, and a lot more flexible now. My last weigh in was just before starting the X program, so I do not know my current weight or measurements. I'm waiting for some more time to go by first.
Anyway, that is some background history. I am posting here to get more support and encouragement, hopefully, so I can my motivation up and thriving. Will you help me? Will you follow my progress? I need another way of accountability besides just the forums and my blog that gets no traffic; partly because I just started it.
I need motivation, CafeMOM!!
