Okay, religions such as Christianity for example are supposed to be "All Loving" and accepting, yet if you are homosexual suddenly you are also shunned by the majority of Christians or other faiths.  (I feel other topics are also shunned but that is for another post.)

How can you think you are so 'special' in the eyes of your Master Being that you are better than someone who chooses a different lifestyle than you?

I myself am not homosexual, but I do have many WONDERFUL homosexual or bi-sexual friends (and some family members) who should not be treated any differently than I am for loving someone of the opposite sex.  All they want is the same thing as I and you do... FREEDOM.  Freedom to choose who they love, how they love, how they live and such and also to be accepted by society.

It's not like if you are homosexual or bi-sexual you turn into some mutant that sucks peoples brains out for crying out loud!  And what are they doing to harm you in any way?  ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

They aren't asking you to live a different lifestyle.  They aren't turning you away from your religion and many of them do not turn away from their religion and beliefs.... but they may turn away from those who turn them away, i.e. resulting in being discriminated by people OF their religion.  Would you want to go to your local church or religious gathering if everyone was going to treat you like an open wound and want to cut you off from the rest of the world? NO! Would you want to enter a domicile in which everyone is talking about you as if you are a monster? NO!

So I say everyone should just give up on the debate!  It's like integration never happened and colored people are still freaks of nature.  ACCEPT and move on!  They aren't going anywhere.  And I plan to stand by their side the entire way until they find justice!

I honestly think people are scared of what is different.  We have friends that are bisexual and homosexual, and I do not think any different of them at all.  It's who they are, and you should except people no matter what.  We all have faults, we learn from our mistakes.  I recently read something that said "Gay people who have children will make their child gay"  How dumb of a comment is this?  It made me very angry because the gay community are treated like they are mutants.

Thank you for your journal!  I applaud you for posting this!!!!!!

shake handYes your so right they should not be treated like that because they are children of God to. When they go to church they should allow God to change them. The word of God is suppose change us and make us better in his eyes. Not ours. Some Christianscant except that gays want to serve GOD because of what he says about them in the bible it is an abomination to HIM (GOD). He destroyed a whole city because of the sexual immortality that went on. He is plain when he says not to be like that it is not what he made us to be so why not change. Yes i have friends like that to but i do comfort them in that way where it is ok with GOD to be like that. Then that will be lying, and playing both sides of the fence. Thats not what God wants. God has no sin and he will not allow sin to dwell in heaven either. so we should help them to overcome the spirit of homosexuality. Because he does not like it. We all must get right in order to go heaven. The bible says the righteous will barely make it into heaven. I totally disagree with some people who try to make another's sin bigger than their sin, & I do believe that people do this because of their insecurities and their unwillingness to look at changing themselves. As christians God does love us all and we are to seek Him and his righteousness instead of looking and pointing out others, On the other hand the word of God is true and we must not accept sin, if your are a true child of God you must do what you can in  love of course to be the best example as possible to help lead God's people back to him.

People tend to measure everyone by their own set of standards, wrongly believing that their own beliefs are what is "right" for everyone.   This ego-centric way of approaching the world causes many problems, of which this is one.

Thank you justnancyb for you comment! : )

Febbie... that is one of the religious responses I was talking about... that yo for the example of closed mindedness that we must all be like one set or principle set of people.  No-one is perfect and if we are all made in "God's" form and "God" makes everything... then do you not question that "God" also made the evil in the world and the homosexuals? To err is human, but to be human is to be "in God's form".

I am not religious at all for this very reason.  I can not understand the reasoning of religion.

Good post! And for the religious rant above...get over yourself. You yourself are just as much of a sinner as the homosexual sitting next to you. So start praying for yourself and make yourself right with YOUR god and leave others out of it. That is called being vain and prideful....in other words, SINS.
