Are You Happy Being a Mother?

I took a little break from my blogging, but now I’m back on track. Reading over “It’s Week 41—My Baby is never Coming Out!!”, I can’t believe that “My Baby” will be 5 years old in less than a month!

And “my baby”, Micah, that I waited so long for, is now a big brother. His “little sis”, Malia, just turned 2 in March.

Each day that passes by, I try to look at it as a gift from God. These children that God has given me, have taught me more about who I am than any other thing in my 40 years. And they continue to teach me about love, grace, patience, kindness…basically, the Fruits of the Spirit, each and every day.  And I am reminded on a daily basis, that I have a lot to work on!!

Motherhood is Hard!! I think that I got so caught up in “ I just can’t wait until this baby arrives” that I never stopped to think that these little ones would grow up to be “Little-independent-self-serving-sinners!”

Actually, I’m blessed in that I have very well behaved children, but wow, it’s lot of hard work. Never ending, from the minute I wake up and till they finally fall to sleep around 9:00pm (or later during the summer!)

But you know what, I love it! And I’ve talked to a lot of mothers out there and they all feel the same way. They’d never trade it for anything else the world could offer.

As a mom, what do you feel? Are you happy being a mother? What are some of your secrets to having a well behaved child?

  Being a mommy is the greatest blessing!!  My son is my heart and my world!  Seeing his smiling face every morning lets me know how truly blessed I am!!  Hearing his laughter fills my heart with joy.  His tiny fingerprints on the window reminds me of the years I longed for a child.  Being able to comfort his tantrums is priceless.  God blessed me with a little angel, and not a day goes by that I am not thankful.  Children are so precious, and I could not imagine my life without a child.  There is nothing that melts your heart more then hearing the word "mommy" a word that means everything to me!!  Children are God's greatest blessings!!

Thank you Kelly for your beautiful comments. I know exactly how you feel.

After my little guy was born, that turly was the best couple of years of my life. Now that his sister is here, it's even better. A little crazy at times, but each day is such a gift from God!!
