....on the road again...ummm what just flew out of my truck?

     Well as most of you know, my club had there first water race of the season last weekend and I got to leave on a thursday so we can take our time and have a stress free day to set up. Yep thats what was SUPPOSE to happen.........thursday started out just fine, weather was perfect-check, got my running around done early in the morning-check, loaded my truck-check, kids went to there dads-check,loaded my dog up in truck-check, headed to my friend Abigails to finish loading my truck up with all her extra crap and to pick up my friend Andrew-check, welp ready to go-check.................wheres Ab?............she went to town to "grab a few things". Ok by now its 4pm and we were suppose to meet at my friend Ronnys house around 430.........430 comes and goes...still no ab...........500 ronny calls-"where the he!! are you guys?" ut oh!! We is in trouble now LOL.......515 ab finally shows up and then she needs to load dogs, *sigh* put water in the tank of the trailer *sigh* hook up to trailer *bigger sigh*  are we ready yet???

    Finally off we go....YEAH! wait why is Ab pulling over? She needed me to run back to her house to grab a crank for her awning, fine! so I bust butt back to her place and bless Andrews heart, he offers to run down her driveway to pick up the crank while I turn my big ole beast of a truck around (which one do you think took longer? yep turning around did LOL) So off we go AGAIN! Ab decided to not wait for me, but thats ok I figure her and Keith are pulling a trailer, I can catch them. So I turn out on the highway and off I go, singing to the radio, so excited for the trial and I look in my rear-view mirror "whats that thats bouncing down the road behind me?" Oh crap! Its the lid to the dog food container.........oh crap (again) the car behind me shredded it!!! GO GO GO!!! Screw it, I aint turning this truck around for a stupid lid. I go approximately 100 yards and see abs trailer on the shoulder with its blinkers on???????? hmmmm then she comes across on the cb "kelly can you stop and pick up the cooler that flew out of my truck" Mind you she says it as I drive by it! "UMMM too late ab" so she had to hike her butt back to the cooler which all I saw was a lid not the actual cooler, she had to stop a logging truck to grab it LOL and the cooler was 100 feet farther in the ditch!    Finally we are off AGAIN!!!!! To ronnys we go! We get there and apparently I have to tow Ronnys camper trailer to the trial.....uhhh I have never towed anything in my life, you really think this is a good idea? Ok dokie! so Ronny loads his big trailer onto my truck, course my electrical doesnt match up "no problem, ab and keith will follow you". As most of you know that in my stories, nothing ever works like its suppose to right? So off I go, out his driveway, ab comes across the cb "you made 1 turn" lol, I made it onto the road "you made 2 turns"lol, I make it to the main road "you made 3 turns" lol, it was almost like the count on sesame street, I was almost ready to hear the laugh bwaaahaaaa lol. So here I am behind Ronny-he has the cookshack on his truck, no lights. Ab and keith behind me totally legal, so 3 trucks and 3 trailers, you think Ronny wouldnt pull out until there was enough room for all of us-NOT!!! Ronny and I made it, not ab! OH CRAP!!!!!! now I have un-suspecting drivers behind me and I have no lights, have no clue what Im doing and no communication with Ronny, boy what else could go wrong? Yep had to actually ask myself that! And all this time, Andrew was sitting so quietly (prob scared out of his mind) and giving me the "you are doing great" type of speeches. A little farther down the highway, Ronny jets off up the big hill-WTF????? So I slam beast in 3rd and off I go! I hope Ab saw us go up the hill.....................what do you think?

   So here I am up in the upper part of shelton, with a trailer, following Ronny and going through neighborhoods etc. Apparently we were trying to miss the "main roads"-he succeeded! By this point I was pretty good with this whole pulling trailers stuff! Then he pulls into a gas station and points to the side of the road, which I assume means that thats where I should park???? So I take up the WHOLE shoulder and then some of the road, while Ronny takes his sweet ole time getting ice and visiting with everyone he sees and stuff............can we go yet?......can we go yet? At this point we have decided that abigail did NOT see us go up the hill and we are on our own!!!!! *sigh* so finally Ronny pulls out and off we go AGAIN!!

    We took the back road to dayton and I was watching the cookshack that Ronny was towing, its @ss end was really going back and forth........."ummm andrew do you think ours is doing that?" But ours looked ok. We made it to the matlock store where again, we pulled over so Ronny could get even more ice *sigh* "geez how MUCH beer did he take?" course it IS Ronny afterall, *sigh* are we ever gonna get there??? By now its almost 8pm. Eventually we did actually make it to the pond, and I even towed that trailer right through the narrow gate with no problems! Im a pro now LOL. The rest of the trial was totally awesome, from going to the river with Sarah, and going swimming with Ronny and Linda at the lake to having some great laughs around the bonfire and taking that fun night drive with Ronny and Angus (a boy not my dog LOL). We all did alot of work and pulled off a great trial-thanks to: Andrew,Abigail, keith, Ronny, Linda, Sarah, Jacob, Angus, Alicia, Dustin and of course ME!
