Well thats what the blood test and HPT test say. I had a chemical pregnancy on July 9th. My levels went from 15 to 9 in a matter of 2 days. So I went home and grieved, cried like a little baby. But I felt better getting the crying out. So I had my cycle the 18 through the 24th of july. And started to feel weird.... took a home pregnancy test on the 26th, mainly to see if my levels were back to zero, and got a positive. I took like 4 test and was confused. Thinking maybe something was wrong. Went in to the dr. they did a blood test and my numbers were 41. At first they were thinking maybe there was something left over from the miscarriage that didn't leave my body when i got my period on the 9th. So they asked me to come back in 2 days to test my levels again. They were 51 this time, that was last Thursday. Dr told me to come in yesterday for more blood work and that we would go from there. Said he didn't wanna give me medicine to stop whatever was growing if in fact it was a new pregnancy all together and not connected to the chemical pregnancy I had had at the beginning of July. Well I got my numbers yesterday were 121. so they are going up but Im still worried. Especially with the miscarriage from earlier. I go in today to get results from the dr and to see what  the dr. thinks is going on.

Am I crazy to not think that something could be truly off? Am I wrong not to worry? And my period is due this Friday, and I know its not good to stress but honestly Im trying so hard and it is not easy.

Has anyone ever gotten pregnant this fast after a miscarriage? And if so how did things turn out? When does the worrying go away? I have 2 kids right now and have never had to go through all this, this is all new to me so I dont know if how im feeling is normal or ok.

Any thoughts, input or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

I got pregnant right after my second miscarriage. I didn't have a period inbetween. That pregnancy resulted in the 18 month old in his room napping right now. My worrying didn't go away until I hit my second trimester though.

Aug. 3, 2010 at 3:17 PM Well Dr says it could be 3 things: 1 is a healthy pregnancy, 2 is I am pregnant but that it won't hold and will end in miscarriage and 3 is that its a tubal or ectopic that just isn't showing up on the ultrasound bc its to early. So pretty much he doesn't know. Wants me to go back in on Monday for another HCG blood test. After those results we will have a better idea of what is going on. I need some high numbers that day or I have to take some pill that starts with a "M". I feel more confused today than yesterday

I found out I was pregnant in Jan 2009 and that pregnancy ended at 8w4d in Feb. We waited almost a year and found out I was pregnant in Dec 2009 miscarried at 8w4d on January 23rd 2010. I had one regular period in Feb. 2010 found out I was pregnant again March 19 2010. I am now 23w4d and because I am thinking about him getting my internal organs karate chopped. lol

I'm very sorry about your miscarriage and on a positive note you really only need to have one regular period before becoming pregnant again and it sounds like you did. I will be praying that things go well for you!

Aug. 4, 2010 at 9:11 PM I had a chemical pregnancy in March and got pregnant before I got another period. I'm almost 20 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. I'll say a prayer for a sticky baby for you.

A chemical pregnancy is not like a molar pregnancy where future conception should be delayed because the hormones could cause harm to the mother's health, it's just a very early miscarriage.

Though the typical advice is to wait 2 periods before conception, I've read many posts where the poster had gotten pregnant after 1 period and the pregnancy is normal.

Methotrexate. That's what they want me to take. (I'm assuming that's the medicine with an "m" they want you to take) I  had a miscarriage, and now my numbers went back up. They didn't see an ectopic on the ultrasound, but wanted me to take the shot anyways. I told them no. I'm not going to risk it. So I kinda wish I had your doctor...mine is actually mad at me for refusing the shot again...:/

Good luck, dear, and I really REALLY hope that you are pregnant, and that it's not ectopic...
