Siggy Group Owners BEWARE!!!!

 There are some out there who will join your group and keep an eye on how often you go into the group as an owner. If you aren't in there often enough, they'll contact CM to take over your group. My group isn't on the active list and I really don't care. It's mainly used for two other groups I own so they can get siggys from there.

 I own a siggy group and I don't have to be in there all the time because I trust my co-owners & admins to do what's neeeded. I talk to them on a daily basis and I trust them enough to be able to do this. If they have a problem with anything, I am immediately made aware of it.

Someone joined my group, then contacted CM to take it over WITHOUT even bothering to contact me first. She admitted to us that she looks for groups that are NOT on the active list and takes them over. She will close them and take the members to her group.

BEWARE of people who own siggy groups that join yours. They may be planning to take your group from you.

First IF the group owner is NOT active then anyone can write cafemom and ask to take over the group. Cafemom will then contact the group owner and give them time to respond if they want the group or not. If they do not respond back to cafemom then yes the group owner will lose the group. So it's not like a open and shut case of someone contacting cafemom and them saying here you go.

NO I am not a siggy group stealer LOL I don't have time for that. I did take over one group I own Tween Titans BUT the group owner had not been in there for almost 2 yrs.

2 years is one thing, but 2 weeks, and the GO had a dead in the family??  It's bull crap!!!!!  She admitted she does it all the time, she just messed with the wrong pride this time!!!!!

shell81 in this case the owner is there alot and has co owners and admits that are there all the time.  She knew the group was taken care of.  Two weeks isn't long enough for a GO to be called MIA.  Hell people go on vacation longer than that.  a Group shouldn't be given away without the GO, co owners or admits not be in there for months not weeks.  someone gone 2 years then yes it needs to be taken over.

Whatever Shell. The way I have my group is what works for me. If it had happened to you, you;d be just as ticked off as I am. Give me a break.

Besides, it was a warning to others to keep it from happening to them. She came into my group with intentions of taking it over. As I said. I dont' care if we are on the popular list or not. I had been in there within the last week. She should have had the "courtesy" to at least contact, if not me, then my admins.
