in need of friends lol

I was sitting on my couch thinking about my friends and I relized that I only have 2 really close friends and they both live over 5 hours away lol. All of my friends near me aren't good friends, I can never count on them, they make plans with me then cancel at the last minute or worst just not show or answer my calls. The only time I hear from them is if they need or want something. The reason I started thinking about this is cause I have 2 young kids, a 4 year old boy and a 15 month old girl, and I would love to have friends with kids to do stuff like go to the park or zoo or invite to birthday partys. I'm a single mom and it gets a little lonely when its just me and the kids all the time lol anyways thanks for listening hopefully ill meet some new friends!

Check the groups to see if there's one in your area. Most meet up for "playdates" during the week which you can attend and get to know others in your area.

I hear you girl i need more friends as well. Since i had my son who is 7 mnths old now my friends pretty much moved on and are living their life with nothing holding them back. I am not a single mom but it pretty much feels like i am. My boyfriend and i have been having problems recently so he leaves a lot to try and keep his sanity. He feels bad for leaving me he says but there is nothing he can do for me to make new friends. So thats why i got on here in hopes of making new ones, but so far they are far away as well. good luck and i hope you feel better, u are not alone.

my grandmother use to tell me.--pick your friends don't let your friends pick you. take your time selecting friends. good friends are harder to find but a let harder to lose once you have them.

Have you tried meetup.com?  You can join groups based on your location and interests.  Good luck.
