My life is enjoyable.  I take every day with a stride, knowing anything can happen because anything is possible, and try to make the best of my day.  Many obstacles stand in my way, like my 10 month old who'd rather cling to me like a leech and cuddle all day -which I love- but unfortunately, I can't concentrate on work with him attached, my husband who feels free to call at the most inopportune times and gets 'fussy' when I rush him off of the phone, unsupportive peers, a slow day for the computer/wireless, and any other number of things.  But these obstacles don't keep me from reaching my goal.  I see them simply as stepping stones; some more slippery than others causing me to fall down, but I get back up because off in the short distance, I see my dreams playing like a home movie.

Working from home is a challenge; one that many moms and dads alike have a hard time facing.  When the kids get rowdy or your self motivation is low one day, you've got to be able to turn to your "Why" and regain your patience and motivation.  Having a strong reason for working at home is almost essential - business or job, it doesn't matter.

People ask me "how can you stand to work at home, don't you crave adult interaction?" Sure I do! That's why I have other mom friends to get out of the house with.  Then again, I am fortunate to have the flexibility to take my "office" with me anywhere there's an internet connection.  I'm not held to my home just because I work there - it's all in my preferences.  Face to face meetings are nice as well as in home presentations at a friend or prospect's home.

Being a mom who doesn't work outside the home doesn't make me any less or good of a mom and it doesn't teach my child "bad" things.  I've seen moms who think that working at home will give the kids the idea that everything comes easy or it teaches the kids to be lazy - not true, in fact it teaches them independence, time management, patience, multi tasking, and sharing - just to name a few.

I have more to say, but it's time to do the paper route :)
