A recession is the best time to start your own business.  When the economy slows down and people are uncertain about their future, people get creative.  People step out of their comfort zones and take initiative to make more money.  Now that layoffs are occurring more and more, people are starting to look at their finances and think of a Plan B.  People working at a company for 45 years and more are getting laid off and others are seeing that the old school ways of thinking about going to school, finding a job, and staying their for years and years are not a very safe and secure way of thinking.  With people needing extra money, they are more open to new business ideas.  According to a poll done by Fresno research for Decipher "72% of all adult Americans would rather work for themselves than for a job, and 67% think about quitting their jobs "regularly" or "constantly".  I am one of those 67%, every day at my job, all I think about is the day I can quit there and work for myself from home as an entrepreneur in the network marketing industry.
