Secrets to Success for Any Home Business

If you have a home business or are thinking about starting one. Here are some key tips to help you succeed:

Have a "Getting Started Right" interview with your upline:

This means that within 24-48 hours of signing up for a new company, you should be in touch with your sponsor. Make sure any initial questions you have are answered and you feel supported and cared for.

Identify Your Goals

Determine why you want to be in the business and what your goals are. Create an action plan for one month, 6 months and 12 months. Where do you want to be? What are your income expectations? Put them in writing and share them with your sponsor.

Be a Product of the Product

Regardless of what company you choose to work with, you need to be actively using the products in order to truly share your experiences about them. The best reps and consultants simply share experiences and don't need to "sell" or be pushy in anyway.

Commit to 2 Exposures a Day

Make an effort to share information about your business with at least two new people each day, ideally 7 days a week, but some folks aim for 5. If your company provides them, use 3rd party tools to share information for you like a company website, catalog, DVD, webinar, etc.

Treat Your Business Like a Business

Work on a daily plan. Manage your time to maximize your productivity. Come up with a daily to-do list and stick to it. Remember that running a business typically requires some financial investment, but it will come back to you.

Apply the Laws of Duplication

Share these same rules with those who report to you. Make sure there is a system in place that can be easily duplicated to help them succeed.

Commit to Personal Development

Program yourself for Success. Read books, listen to CDs, and attend classes. Find a success partner for yourself, someone who will help you achieve more.

Attend Local Events

If your company has them, and good ones should, attend a local event related to your company about once a week.

Attend Corporate Events

When possible, attend events in person or call into calls weekly.

Be Here a Year From Now

Home businesses are not Get Rich Quick opportunities. You need to work to succeed. 90% of people fail simply because they quit and give up. Continue all of the above for a year and you will succeed!
