I just want to acknowledge and congratulate all the stay at home moms out there for making the sacrifice to stay home with your kids.
I made the decision to stay at home with mine almost 19 years ago. And even though there were lots of boring days, and times when I thought we weren't going to have enough money to pay our bills, I am so glad I stayed home.
You see, my oldest just graduated from high school last year and my younger one is graduating in 2011. Pretty soon I'll have my life back.
And I have a ton of really cool memories about what we did together - me and my kids - all those years they were growing up. All the field trips I got to go on, all the days I got to help out at their school, all the other activities I got to share with them.
There are very few moments that I missed.
It would have been very different if I had gone back to work.
I am not saying that the moms who work out of the home are any less than the ones who are staying at home. I know they make a ton of sacrifices, too, and a lot of times, it's not their choice to go to work.
I also know that the stay at home moms very rarely get to hear appreciation and encouragement from anyone.
So, good going stay at home moms and congratulations for making a decision that you will never regret.
