Ramblings from my dark side

9 years ago today there was an innocence in our world.

9  years ago today a hijacked plane meant landing in a foreign country and possibly making it out alive.

9 years ago today 3000 people had no idea what tomorrow would bring.

9 years ago today millions of others didn't know the horrors they would witness in 24 hours.

9 years ago today was the last day of what was "normal".

9 years ago today children still had mothers AND fathers.

9 years ago today was a Monday like any other Monday - it would be the last.

9 years ago today the New York Skyline was dominated by two towers of steel and glass.

9 years ago today the Pentagon could never be attacked.

9 years ago today there was no need for a memorial in a Pennsylvania field.

9 years ago today the term 9/11 was in no way special or different.

9 years ago today there was no Ground Zero.

9 years ago today.....

i dont look at it as a sad day, i look at it as a good day, the day we all stopped and helped one another, either it being 1,000 miles from the disaster for people who were crying and others helped console them. its a day to remeber that we have freedom that the people from the other country that tried to hurt us dont have. we have people who fight for their lives and ours. i will never remeber the day as being sad.

BlueEyes689 - that is a good way to remember that day. For me the sadness comes from so many lives that were shattered.
