Can give me a little info on the policies of the school down there. My son is 19 and wants to go back to school. Thing is no one can give me a clear reason why he has to have a power of attorney and/or be emancipated. I can't afford to get an attorney down there so any info you can give me will be well appreciated.
Thank you.
Comments:
I have talked to the high school there. The superintendent and I called the courts down there. The school said that I needed to give my brother the power of attorney and I asked the if they had a handbook that would outline procedures and they said that they didn't, superintendent said that he had to be emancipated and the courts told me that I needed to get an attorney. I'll look into the library here but I'm like 1400 miles from where my son is.

Your local library might have an answer for your town's politics on schools. Or they should be able to point you in the right direction.
Or ask the question in writing with copies to the town, and superindents <~~Sp? office. Asking in letter form should prompt some kind of answer.
