Ok, so here's the situation... I was told a few nights ago that my friend's boyfriend had been raping her 13 year old daughter. So I called my friend and told her what I heard and she needed to talk to her daughter. I really thought I was doing the right thing but i was so very wrong. My friend  "supposedly" took her daughter to the ER and then to the police station where the girl was questioned. I ask her mom last night what happened. Then she said she was not suppose to talk about any of it. The girl, after it all came out, she even went and talk to another friend of ours who said after he finished talking to her he went in the house and vomited bc it made him sick to think what this man had done to this girl. Well today the mom's roommate calls me and says its a lie and the mom is going to go back to this man who "did nothing wrong". It just makes me sick to think that I tried to help and all I did was open up a whole new can of worms for my husband and the family. By the way it is my husband's uncle who supposedly did this to the poor girl. I would just love someone to say I did the right thing. I tried to help the little girl but all I did was complicate things.
