When your kids break something that means something to you

Ugh! I am trying so hard not to be upset. I am sitting here blogging so I do not cry. I always wanted a cake plate with a lid. Always!!! I finally buy the one I always wanted and my oldest breaks it. I had cupcakes in it that I made with my youngest. I told everyone not to allow the kids to get their own. I told my husband, my mil, and my oldest child. yet now I have a broken cake plate. I am so stupid for even getting it down!!!! I should have left it up on top of the cabinet for people to admire. I guess it is a scarfise you make a mom. Now I have a big mess to clean up! :(  I guess I am one cake plate short!  Mad at myself more than anything. I had a feeling this would happen! I just wanted to use it for a change. I guess I will have to buy another one and save it for when my kids are older.
