Whoops! This may have been helpful before my "Confession" yesterday. Introducing....Emma

Note from me: I didn't realize that I had forgotten to include this post on my CafeMom page.  It probably would have been helpful prior to my "confession" but none-the-less, here it is...

So, I started this blog with the intention to fill it initially with Emma, Emma and more Emma and I still am going to do that.  However, I’ve been sitting on this introduction.  I’ve been trying to figure out how to get it all started.  I want to talk about what’s going on now, yet I want to share with you everything we’ve been through.  It’s 8 years worth of stuff – way too much for one post.

Then this week, being her first week of second grade I had to fill out a paper for her teacher, an “About Your Child” paper.  It had several basic questions on it like: What does your child like to do?  What are your child’s best qualities? etc.  Then it said please list any questions or concerns you have about your child and the school year followed by 3 lines for me to write on.  I filled those three lines up with only a tip of the ice berg and told Emma’s new teacher that I was an “emailer” and warned her that she would probably hear from me often regarding my questions and concerns.

Well, about 3 minutes after I filled out the “About Your Child” paper I wrote my first email/book to Mrs. Rarick. I know it would have been nice to warn her first with said paper, however, I really had many more concerns than what I originally wrote on those 3 lines.

So, I thought I’d introduce Emma to you, the same way that I’m introducing her to her teacher.  I’ll share my email to Mrs. Rarick with you and you can get a glimpse of Emma through my eyes this way.  Going forward I’ll detail the last 8 years in separate situations with separate posts and you’ll always find them all in my column, Speaking of Emma.

We have those questionnaires too and I'm an emailer...  cant wait to read more about emma.
