Catanna's Journal

venting and news about my Ladybug

So here is the update for the EEG progress. I thought that we were going to have Athena Ived to be put under. Well guess what I was wrong. We get there on time and walk into the pediatrics and there is a crib but they take me to a room with a bed and at first I thought this is what we thought we had to do to have the elytrous put on her and that the IV would knock her out so I wasn’t worried about it. They said they were wanting on the meds but we had to weight her and all this other stuff. Then they come in with a medicine in like an eye dropper thing. They were going to make her drank it. I knew then this wasn’t going to work but I let them give it to her. First time she spit it out and started to puke and panic, and then came the second dose got some of it down but puked again. Now remind you my daughter hasn’t had anything to eat or drank since 7pm the night before. So then we watch TV, read books and, then she starts to bounce on the bed. This is when I knew trouble was coming. It is now 12:00 and they were coming back to give her the last dose they could give. This time I didn’t help, one of the nurses came in set on the bed and held her down herself. This time we know that she got all of it. She didn’t puke this time and with in a few minutes Athena is acting goofy but still wide awake and boucing in the bed. SO I started running around the bed to keep her from falling off the bed. One time I wasn’t quick enough and down she went head first to the floor I grab her up ran her to the nurses deck demanded a crib. They gave me one and it is about 12:30 and still nothing. During this time I’m tell them that we give her a sippy and meds to make her go to bed at night but normally she has had a sippy and some food. I wanted to give her a sippy and let her go to bed and it was like they were not listening to me. One nurse walked in and said if she wasn’t out by 1pm that we would have to figure out what to do next. Then the second nurse walked in and said no that if she isn’t out know then she wasn’t going out so they told me to leave. So I gave Athena a sippy I changed my clothes and came out to a sleeping baby. I walk to them and said she is out now. They said it was to late. So after all that and all that torture I put Athena threw they weren’t going to do anything. They also didn’t know if insurance will cover the VEEG since we couldn’t get anything done with the EEG. So now I’m waiting to find out if going to Indy next week is a complete waste of time because know one can give me an answer and I’m getting mad on just sitting here waiting for people to get off the lazy bums. I’m sorry that this is long but it is part venting and letting everyone know the update so far.
