I love The Martha Stewart Show. I was watching online and I came across this recipe and let me tell you its WONDERFUL!! I already had basically everything to make this dessert in my kitchen, so I did. I didn't have the cranberries or the heavy cream.

http://www.marthastewart.com/show/the-martha-stewart-show/kids-crafts-with-tori-spelling its the second clip in the video queue.

And here are 2 pictures of mine

and the ingredients

crust:

3/4 cup flour

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp sugar

6 Tbsp butter

1 Tbsp ice water

I didn't use a food processor like the video I used a hand mixer and I let my butter soften up a little so it would be easier to mix. And I made two of the crust recipe, one just wasn't enough to cover the whole thing

filling

3 LB apples (about 6)

3 Tbsp flour

1 Tbsp lemon juice

1/3 C brown sugar

2 Tbsp butter cut into pieces

I didn't have any heavy cream so I melted a Tbsp of butter and used granulated sugar to sprinkle.

Bake at 375 for 1 hour and let set for 15 minutes before serving.

This entire recipe takes 15 Tbsps of butter which is one Tbsp shy of two whole sticks. But it is delicious, and the crust just melts in your mouth. MMM
