Being a part of the military in my family, goes back to Teddy Roosevelt"s "Rough Riders" My earliest memories of my dad was looking up at him in his Army green"fatigues" they used to be called and "walking" with him on top of his Army boots. I feel like I'm home around uniforms. I served in the Army Nurse Corp Reserves and my husband retired from the Navy. My oldest son is going to the Navy soon. So needless to say, our family's attachment to the military way of life is passing to the next generation. I created a fanpage on Facebook " Show The Troops You Care" to create awareness of the contributions of service men and women that make our way of life possible. The Mission is: Communicate the opportunity to express our thanks for the service provided by the men and women in the military who provide for the safety of their fellow man at home and abroad. Please go to http://www.facebook.com/pages/Show-The-Troops-You-Care/128992200461156 and "like" it to become a fan.

I also fund-raise for the USO.The mission is:Let service members away from home know we care by helping the USO provide programs to meet their needs."until everyone comes home."
