Pretzel Salad


First Layer:
2 cups of coarsely crushed pretzels
3/4 c. melted margarine
3 tbs. sugar

Second layer
1 8 oz pkg of cream cheese
1c. sugar
2 c. of whipped topping (cool whip) or 2 c. of homemade whipped cream

Third Layer
1 lg. pkg of strawberry flavor gelation
2 c. boiling water
1(10 oz) box of frozen strawberries
 Preheat oven to 400 F. Mix pretzels sugar and butter together for first layer. Take mixture and press into a 9x13x2 inch pan. Bake about 8 minutes so butter melts and take out of oven. Let cool

Second layer: Beat sugar and cream cheese together. Add in whipped topping. Spread this mixture over cooled pretzel layer in pan.

Third layer: Mix gelatin, boiling water and strawberries together and set aside for about 15 minutes. Pour this mixture over the second layer cheese mixture after 15 min. Chill thoroughly until gelatin sets. Even better if chilled overnight.
