Three thousand years walking the earth and still the only immortals I have stumbled upon have been a small number of fairies and the handful of vampires who made the mistake of trying to make me their meal. While they may have gotten a taste of me, in the end I had their head. Those heads all held the same confused expression. I was something that few supernaturals had come across. I am a human, I have blood that is pumped through my veins by a beating heart. I can even die... for a few minutes...If, and only if, someone takes my head off.

It's happened quite a few times throughout the centuries. During wars mostly, a longsword had been my end an uncountable amount of times, but there were other means to my many demises. The most recent , and it was hundreds of years ago, came about when I lost track of time in a newly discovered America. I picked out a settlement in Salem in in the late 1670's. I could only pass for 22 for so long. I lost track of time, which those that don't age often do. Almost 30 years had passed when they noticed their midwife wasn't aging. It was late one night that I awoke to torches in my home and seconds later an axe came..... Well you know. I'd gotten used to waking up in the woods naked after dying.

Luckily, along with being immortal, I have a single trick that gives me an advantage. I am strong. When it comes to physical bouts, the only opponent that can match me is a vampire. Every encounter with them has ended in my victory, so far. Fairies I've never had to fight, and as far as a I know could be just as strong, or even stronger, though I have to admit I'm happy I don't know and I don't plan to find out.

Why am I this way? I have no idea. On my 22nd birthday, time stopped for me. 10 years later, the villagers where I lived tried to burn me alive. It was when I broke the ropes I realized I had become stronger. It wasn't until much, much, later during the crusades that I learned losing my head would end me & also that I would come back inevitably.

In recent years I've learned of a community that holds supernaturals of all kinds. I plan on making that place my new home in hopes that I won't have to move again.

Hope to see you soon wink
