Thru These Blue Eyes

Thoughts & Stories from living with boys

Her name is Kayleigh. This morning on her way to school she had a stroke and fell and hit her head. She is in the hospital on ventilators.  The tests came back 1/2 hour ago stating that there was no brain activity. I'm in tears as I write this... but I know that she's a fighter.

Please, keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers. I watched her and her brother grow up. Her brother, Logan, and my brother are best friends. She is a high school athlete, a member of her church's youth group and one of the sweetest girls you could meet.

I know that God has a plan for everything, but I also know that he makes miracles happen, and we are needing a miracle. Doctors are saying she won't make it through the night, but I know that with prayers anything can happen.

Hang on Kayleigh!!! We are all praying for you!!!

***I don't usually ask for voting up, but please, the more people that see this, the more prayers she'll get!***

**********************UPDATE****************************

I wish it was a good update, but it's not, although it could be a lot worse. She's still in ICU with blood clots in her brain... every vein is blocked and her brain is swelling at critical levels. Doctors are talking with the family about different options. She's still alive, though on ventilators. Please keep praying for her and her family.

***********************UPDATE******************************

On December 7th, 1991 God gave the world a beautiful baby girl. And on November 12th at 12:55 God sent one of his angels to bring her home to God. He saw all the lives that Kayleigh touched and he said "I need her in Heaven to bring even more joy to all here."

Good bye sweet Kayleigh. Make us all proud and continue to do good things in Heaven. You will be missed so much by so many. You fought so hard, but God had other plans, and while we are saddened by this, we know that you are meant for great things up there.

I want to thank everyone so much for your prayers and thoughts.  There was nothing that could be done, no brain activity since she arrived at the hospital yesterday morning. Her mother and father made the hardest decision parents could ever make, and took her off the ventilators at the doctors' suggestions.

"Lord Jesus, I come to You right now Father, and ask that You would touch this young woman's brain and perform a miracle Lord. I pray God that You would help this family to stay strong given whatever the outcome of this situation. We know that in ALL things work together for good to those that love God. I pray Lord you would heal her with your Almighty hand. In Your holy name, Amen."

Blessings, please keep us posted.
