Went to a school dance tonight with my kids.... I have a little something to say ..

Pull your damn pants up where they go , if they dont fit, buy a belt...cant afford one, try a rope.

Tie your shoes and turn that damn hat straight...

Talk like you know english and stop speaking and spelling in ebonics, youre not that stupid.

Parents ... seriously make your kids be thriving citizens instead of letting them do whatever the hell they want.

Ok vent over.

Sad isn't it?!? Since when is the cool thing acting like your parents didn't teach you how to dress and talk? I would be so embarassed to be caught at the store/school/etc with my clothes on wrong and talking as if I was raised by something other than humans...LOL

If you're going to vent about English, you probably want to have proper grammar and spelling.  :)

As a parent, there are more important things for me to instill in my son than looking like an idiot when he is not with me. I draw the line when we are out together somewhere nice, but when he is by himself or with his friends, if he wants to wear his pants to his ankles, that's his business.

I would prefer spending my time with underage drinking, drugs, sex before marriage and other topics like that.

But as a parent ToraMay, do you not think its also your parental duty to teach your son that the way one presents their self in public is also important? I mean do you really want to know your son has his pants to his ankles no matter where he is?I just dont know why any parent wouldnt care how their kids looked outside of the home??? Someone help me understand !slapping forehead
