People say they want to do the right things. I say.. "Who's version of the right things.."

Next thing you know you hear.. "Judge not....Matt 7:1 scripture quoted at you.." Ironically both beleivers and non-beleivers quote this!! My question then is.. IS THIS REALLY WHAT WAS BEING TAUGHT IN THAT PASSAGE? Or are we twisting this quote from the scripture to fit into our own agenda?

Mat 7:1

Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Mat 7:2

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Mat 7:3

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Mat 7:4

Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

          Mat 7:5

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye;           and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye

You can't tell a person not to judge.. Hello seriously ex. it is almost deer hunting season.. I DANG WELL DON'T WANT PEOPLE OUT THERE USING GUNS WITH NO STINKING JUDGEMENT.. ON HOW AND WHEN AND WHERE TO USE THEM! Do you want people driving who don't know how to Judge if the stop light, signs are ment for them? Everyone needs some measure of personal JUDGEMENT CALLS.. DAILY.. The key is they need to JUDGE THEMSELVES FIRST AND FORMOST!

The bible was trying to tell you.. That if you haven't taken care of your own issues first.. you have no right to tell another how to do it. Meaning.. IF YOUR A GOSSIP.. Don't judge the local gossip, as you have a beam in your own eye!!

If you have committed and are still committing adultery.. don't go arround and judge someone else who has done it.. YOU HAVE A BEAM IN YOUR EYE.. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO JUDGE THEM.. However who better than someone who has lived a life of adultery to tell a person.. how to remove themselves from that life.. It all depends on if you have learned your own lessons before.. see what I mean?!

Take care of your own life! THIS WAS THE MEANING OF THAT BIBLE VERSE..

Yet 90% of people quoting that verse act as if it is a get out of jail free card telling others that they no longer have to live a life based on good judgement and personal responcibility.

FRANKLY.. THAT IS JUST A PERSON TRYING TO EXCUSE THEIR OWN PERSONAL "PET" SINS...

Back to the topic of Judging.. I will also post several other BIBLE verses on this topic.. Because these ones are often ignored...

Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? 1Co 6:1

1Co 6:2

Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

1Co 6:3

Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

1Co 6:4

If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

1Co 6:5

I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?

1Co 6:6

But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.

1Co 6:7

Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?

1Co 6:8

Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.

Luk 12:57 Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

Luk 19:22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:

Joh 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Joh 7:51 Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth?

Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

1Co 10:15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

You see many verses in the bible speak of Judging.. so why do people only want to pick the ones.. which allow them to IGNORE their own sins? I say it is for that very reason!
