Those months when my empty uterus twitched for another, I couldn't help but to justify getting pregnant so our daughter could relish in the joys of being a big sister.  Over the years, I have had positive and negative experience with my siblings.  But in the end, they were all learning experiences.  I wanted to see our daughter grow with a sibling.

Once a week, until my baby's are three months old, I like to take a picture to watch them grow fast.  Last week, Vivian turned 11 weeks and I propped her up on the couch in her proud new pose.  And the adorable moment when big sister jumped on the couch to join her.

Today I could have mopped up my melted heart off the floor, when I caught Evelyn reading her favorite book to sleeping Vivian.  It is times like these I feel so blessed.  I am sure the screaming, kicking, and pinching will come some day. And hopefully they learn to share, listen and take turns through those experiences. But until then, I will treasure these moments.

I grew up with five siblings so I know what you mean about growing up with someone. It's so sweet that she's such a good big sister! And they are adorable!

Oh the fighting and screaming will come!  :)  But a sense of "belonging" will come as well.  AS long as they always love and respect each other through the fights, they will remain close knit.  :)  My oldest 2 fight like crazy, but when things get tough or they want to play, they look to each other first.  :D  I love having a big family and wish I could magically have more than the 4 I have... but I can't do the pregnancy thing again :)

I am now 39 years-old.  I was an "Only" child, And I can tell you that you did the right thing!

"Only"  rhymes with "Lonely"...

I  am now the happy mom of a boy & a girl and, if I had more means to support more babies I would!   BTW - your girls are adorable!
