^Scarlett Olivia on her 1st birthday-that is a 6 month outfit to give you a picture of her size. I'm about at my wits end. My daughter is 13 months old. She weighs 14 lbs 10.5 oz. She gains on average 3 oz a month, and started showing signs of poor growth at 4 months old. My family is full of giants, there isn't a man under 6 foot and most of the women are over 5"6. Scarlett was 6 lbs 15 oz at birth and 19.5 inches long. She just doubled her birth weight near her birthday and she is almost 28 inches tall. I'm sick of her pediatrician and my husband is not supportive. Her head is mishapen from being stuck during my pregnancy, she gets ear infections every 1-2 months, and was completely formula intolerant. She drinks whole milk all day but barely touches solids. She's the smartest little thing I've ever seen, she can use 3 signs, say and understands almost 20 words, totally comprehends things, she makes all kind of animal noises if you ask her what makes what sound and tries putting her own shoes on her feet too, but she doesnt walk yet. She was a late crawler too, I think she was 8-9 months old when she learned.I'm just out of ideas, this is really shotty and doesnt have half of the details of her health history but I'm tired of telling it to everyone and having nobody listen. Please just pray for her. I feel that God is testing me and I don't want her to be in pain because of my actions. I am suffering with her. Please make it stop.

All babies gain weight at different intervals.  13 months isn't late for walking.  At 15 months, should be concerned there.  I was SHORT SHORT SHORT until 2nd grade and I ended up at 5'9.  The doctors thought I would be only 5'3!  lol.  The solids is what is weird though.  I would try giving her baby food in a bottle... we had to do that with our daughter because she HATED spoons, when she wanted to eat- she wanted to eat right then :D.  Ear infections should be looked at- but it's not that big of a deal.  I know a lot of children that get CONSTANT ear infections, but there may be an infection in her ear canal that they aren't catching.  That happened to a friend of mine too, they just needed to put tubes in her son's ears because of it.

If you are really worried, go see another pediatrician.  Sometimes when a doctor doens't worry about it it's because there isn't a reason to worry.  But sometimes when a doctor doesn't worry its because they think we're overreacting.  I recently had to change our pediatrician because my old one didn't accept my insurance...  I wish I didn't have to change.  This doctor keeps trying to give my kids medicine for no reason and I hate that. :(   Maybe if you talk to another doctor you can see if there is a problem or not... but I would say if the 2nd doctor feels the same way (that nothings wrong) then your safe.  I don't think there is too much to worry about.... but I don't know the whole history.... so talk to another doctor......

Best of luck and I hope you get things figured out soon.  And I will add your family to my prayers!!!!

I have a friend who had a tiny daughter.  She didn't eat much, didn't get any teeth until she was over a year old, and was super smart.  She just kept at it, giving her high Cal drinks and foods and kept her daughter growing.  She's now a lively 3 year old, some kids are just small.  Enjoy her!
