On Saturday our family went out to Warrenton to pick up some items from Fred Meyer out there, and they were doing a food drive. While we were in the store, I had the kids each pick out a can of food to give to the food drive... and they made the paper!!

"Stephanie and Jesse Graves, of Ocean Park, Wash., with their four children contribute to the “Stuff The Truck” campaign at the North Coast Fred Meyer Saturday. The kids gave canned food to Sarah Hirst while Eli Anderson looked on."

That is awesome. I try to teach my daughter when I can about serving others too. We once saw a lady bundled up trying to get money or food donations last winter. I don't have much but I felt good about helping this lady so I let my daughter help pick out what to get, which meant mac n cheese and hot dogs, with the 5 bucks I could spare and then we picked up somethign warm for her to enjoy while she was out too. It was great and my daughter was so excited she helped.
