Tonight I posted on my fbaccount a song by called Get A Job and posted that it was to all the deadbeat moms and dad who did not payed their child support. Gosh yes I am a bitter step mom here, but how unfair it is that I have to take up the slack of raising her child when she see no need to only take him once every few months and then have the nerve to call herself his mom? I am going to work when she get's a new house. How fair is that? I knew full well what I was getting into when I married my hubby. Yes I may bitch and complain sometimes, but I would never ever take away what I have learned here by just being mom to both kids. Yes one grew in my tummy and the other in my heart. But it breaks mine to see a bio mom use excuses for not getting a job when me as a college educated woman is reduced  to working fastfood to make ends meet...

I understand exactly what you are going through- i raised both of my Step-Son's b/c their Mom decided she had Better things to do- They were Lucky if they got a phone call every few months; much less seeing her- You are So Right- it blows my mind that she can call herself a Mom with a Straight Face, it blows my mind more than that, that she can lay her head down at night! My kids are grown now- Blending a family is the hardest job on this earth & we had lots of ups & downs along the way but, i am the very first person my kids come to when whatever Good or Bad is going on in their life & i am Mom- at the end of the day; that is all that matters......... Trust Me, your Step-Son will be the exact same way- Wishing you lots of luck- Take Care

I agree with you and daisyb it's sad and it's difficult. Sad that the BM isn't more concerned or involved and difficult in the respect that blended families are a challenge. Congrats to you for doing all you can do to make it work!
