wisdom teeth out. I know, it doesn't seem like real surgery. But they are knocking him out (general anesthesia) and they keep using that s word. Sigh. I feel stupid posting about it but I'm sitting here feeling out of sorts in the waiting room alone and I know it's hardly surgery and I'm not looking for attention I just want someone to say yes they get it, how I feel out here waiting alone for my son. Everything is going to be fine, of course. :(

My  son had a baby tooth out in the front under general anesthesia & the next morning I was going to send him to school & his upper lip was enormous!! I called the hospital & said oh thats normal. Well it sure freaked me out. How old is your son?

Nov. 23, 2010 at 2:59 PM He is 16 but like the other poster said, still my baby boy! They did tell me he will swell a lot. They said ice 30 on 30 off for the rest of today and ice tomorrow, heat on day three. He's passed out on the couch right now. He looked rougher than I imagined, I don't know why I didn't imagine it. Poor guy!! He ate a wendys frosty took pain meds and crashed on the couch.
