Grief of Losing My Husband

Today me and the kids sent you cards and balloons for Thanksgiving. I know it's a couple of days early, but I wanted to drive out to our special place, and this was the only chance I had before the holiday. On the way there we saw these guys:

I thought it was kind of neat that there was four of them, and there are four of us now. We stopped the car and watched them for a bit.

The kids have been really excited to send your cards. They made them a couple of days ago, and they put a lot of thought into them. Damon wrote you a really nice letter. I didn't take a picture because it was kind of personal and between you and him. He did let me read it though. Drake and Elysia picked out the Superman stickers. You always were our superman.

Each of the kids got to pick out their own balloon to send to heaven for you:

It was freezing out today, so the kids look miserable, but all in all I'd say it was a good experience. They're already asking when they can do it again. We love and miss you lots. Hope you have a great Turkey Day in Heaven. It's just not going to be the same without you down here.

This is so beautiful and special Melissa, it brings me to tears.  Such a beautiful way of sharing Thanksgiving with Tim and letting him know how much he is loved and how thankful you all are for having had him in your life.  And I'm certain that he is just as thankful for having had that time with you and he will be with you all in spirit and holding you close to his heart.  May God shower you with many blessings and may beautiful memories give you a reason to smile and be thankful on Thanksgiving day.  Hugs xox
