So I have been doing some online schooling for the past year. I love kids and want to eventually own my own daycare establishment. As the end of the road comes near for the class, I realize that basically what I'm getting is a child day care diploma. Doesn't sound as savvy as I hoped but for 900 dollars I guess you get what you pay for... IDK i just hope it means something..

Would you as a parent hire or feel a lil better with a person that had a diploma in day care management?

I think I would ask you what kind of classes you took and what is your practical experience in the daycare field?   Are you able to do any student teaching or volunteering at an accredited center or something, to be able to write your own policies. What are the regulations where you live to open your own place?

Good luck, we certainly need more, good, daycare options.

When I was searching for someone to care for my child, the most important thing for me was that the person was caring and I was able to tell that by whether or not my child wanted to go to their house after the first week.  Some of the other things that were important to me was that my child was learning and preparing for preschool and that they were learning about consequences for bad behavior and rewarded for good behavior.   By consequences, I mean time out if they didn't behave.  It would seem that by you taking those classes you learned something about why kids do what they do and how to better care for them so, yes,  initially you would probably be a preferred provider.
