In need

I have never been without, Now on my second pregnancy and my second divorce I find myself needing Maternity clothes that I can't afford. Its not easy in this economy to find a job, and its even harder for me with my diabetes and health issues. Does anyone know of anywhere I can look for free Maternity clothes, or even help in this dilemma?

Try freecycle.com, post on your local craigslist, or check with local churches. Around the holidays there is a high need and demand for everything so it may take a while... Good luck.

Can you wear plus sized tops? They might be able to help you if you can't find someone to help you with maternity tops. I know it doesn't help in terms of pants/jeans but if you can find free or cheap plus sized tops, it may help.

All of the PPs had great ideas, & a suggestion for pants: If you cannot find maternity pants, you might be able to get by with plus sized elastic waist pants. I wish I could be of more help, I know how hard it is to be in this position.

Dec. 7, 2010 at 9:06 PM Go to bookoo.com search for your city or one closest to you. It's like one huge community yardsale. I promise you its not a scam. There should be a section called freebies. Ask if anyone is giving away maternity clothes or if someone has posted some to give away. It's kinda like craigslist.
