Although I was only involved in 1/2 of the activities that made today such a productive and successful day, it still feels good to know we as a family, got so much done. Rob took off late morning to run some errands and I was lucky if I had energy to walk from the kitchen to the couch, so Dylan wandered and played while I watched. I'm a proud mama of one independent boy!
Luckily, Rob got home with some time to spare as a family, before he had to leave for work. He's got no clue how absolutely proud of him I am and how thankful we are that he works so hard, to keep me home with our 14 month old son and give me the ability to build my business. No words, gifts, actions, or kisses could possible express my true gratitude to him. He's my hero.
After a little family time, Rob left for work and Dylan was still napping -in his crib- so I soaked in some "just me" time. Soon after he woke up from his nap, I decided I had to tackle the task of playing "Find the buried Christmas tree" that I knew would be in a hard to get spot in the closet. Boy, was I right - and that closet is pretty big, we just have too much stuff! So I finally got the tree out and set up, now Rob and I need to put our heads together and decide on an out of the way, high up enough, sturdy and secure foundation to set it.
Then, for some unknown reason, I took it upon myself to tackle the job of getting the plastic over the windows.... okay okay, so I just got 1 of the 4 windows we have done. Sorry, I don't work well under pressure from a 14 month old screaming at me because he doesn't have the entire kitchen in his play pen :) I already noticed a difference in temperature - I'm no longer putting my robe on and 5 minutes later taking it off :)
Otherwise, I took some time to hunker down and focus on some internet marketing training... now is the time to get started on 2011's goals and it's going to be a busy year!
Well, once again I'm getting an earful, and it's almost 11pm so daddy should be getting home aaaaany minute now. Ta ta for now :)
