When our insurance kicks back in. FINALLY Scarletts pediatrician has reached out to someone higher up than himself who assures him she NEEDS to be seen by a specialist. So 10 months of worrying won't go completely wasted now that my 14 month old toddler is the size of a 9 month old infant...only lighter. Today I weighed her and she's lost another oz. A month ago she was creeping her way up to 16 lbs. At 15 lbs 6 oz she got her FOURTH ear infection in the last 8 months and lost a bunch of weight, now she's back to 14 lbs 15 oz. She's 29 and 1/4 inches which puts her in the 25th%ile for height. Yet she is NEGATIVE 5th or MORE percentile for weight and head circumfrence both. I'm aggrivated that it's taken this long for her pediatrican to take notice of my concerns but I am SO happy she'll finally be analyzed and hopefully cured of what ever is wrong. But now I'm super concerned too....UC Davis is a childrens hospital for severely sick kids, and an endocrinologist thinks she should be admitted...so she must be severely sick right? Hopefully we won't be living in a hospital for 6 months watching our sweet baby girl get poked and prodded with needles every day. Wish us luck and we appreciate your prayers! Has your child been admitted to a childrens hospital with an undiagnosed condition? How was your experience?
