What the Heck!?!?!?!?!

My son's preschool had a half day today, but my school had a full day schedule so my mother had to pick my son up from school today. After she picks him up and gets back to her house she sends me a text. Apparently at 11:30 this morning my son hit his head on the bathroom door handle in the classroom and has a giant black & blue knot in the middle of his forehead!! There is a incident report I have to sign and return to the school. Well, my mom sends me this text at 3:30 this afternoon. If this happened at 11:30 why didn't anyone call me to let me know what happened so I could make the decision to pick him up from school or let him stay???? We're not talking about a scraped knee or a splinter in his finger here!! We're talking about what had to be a VERY hard hit on his HEAD!!! Maybe I'm over-reacting, but can we say CONCUSSION people! His preschool is definately getting a phone call from me tomorrow! I find this unacceptable.

I agree with you completely. They absoultely should have called you immidiately. Of course, I tend to over react when my son hits his head, due to him having had a sub-dural hematoma at 3 months that required draining (a collection of blood between the brain & skull).
