Our Best Vacation Ever was the one we took to Washington DC almost 6 years ago.
We are not "vacation" people. We rarely go, busy with farming, jobs etc. But we decided to go and visit our best friends who live just outside of DC. Their kids are older, but the 8 of us had a blast.....you'd think we were long-time neighbors instead of only seeing each other yearly. The kids were closerthanthis, the adults had fun and the laughter never stopped.
The educational aspects of touring DC was great for our oldest. Our youngest does not recall even being there.
We are planning another trip there this summer. We cannot wait! The now college-aged kids cannot wait for our girls to come out. So many activities are planned already!
DC is an amazing place to visit. Wish we could go more often!

My husband has been to Washington DC and still talks about it. He loves history. We have 3 children but two of them are only 6 and 3. I would like to wait at least another 10 years before we go so they can remember it and get something out of the trip.
