I'm so tired, but I just don't wanna go to bed. Why you may wonder??? Though many mom's already know the answer.... Once my head hits the pillow, 1 of a few things will happen:
1. I will fall asleep. Which is the point of going to bed, right? But I'll wake up in a few hours sneezing and coughing, poss. wheezing. (alergies) which will prob. wake my 6 m/o and make for a very early morning........again.
2. I will be tired but lay awake for seemingly half of the night, then fall asleep an hr or 2 before the alarm goes off.
3. I will get comfy, and be on the verge of a deep, peacefull, quiet sleep.........and the baby will get up.
4. I will close my eyes, and it will feel like 2 mins, and my dh will come home from work around 4:30 or 5 am, and wake me up w/ a kiss (which I'm not complaining about) but I will then go into a sneezing fit, have to pee, and dh will prob. want to "cuddle", which that early during the wk. means wham bam thanks honey, now get off me so I can get some sleep. lol. And by that time it will be time to get my dd up and to the bus by 6:45am. My ds up and to school by 8:55am. My other ds (who is 2 1/2) up and fed and changed, etc. My dd (who is 6 m/o, and prob. been up since 6 or so anyway) fed and changed. Then laundry dishes, dirty diapers, tantrums consoling, feeding, picking up from school, laundry, dishes, getting hubby off to work, help w/ homework, dinner, more dishes, straightening up/ cleaning etc., bedtime for 2 1/2 y/o, bedtime for 6 m/o, bedtime for 2 older ones, (I say them all separately because each one is a totally diff. rutine when it comes to bedtime and each takes a diff. amount of time) and then I find myself sitting here, like I am right now...my eyes half shut, trying to stay awake just so I can enjoy even a 1/2 hr. of time to myself, uninterupted, and knowing that tomorrow holds the same endless cycle for me as today did........grrrrrr. Time for bed I guess.....Bless all of you wonderful mothers and your wonderful fams. sigh. night

I know how you feel, I tend to stay up late cause it seems to be the only time I get any ME time. when I do go to bed, one of my three girls or maybe all of them at some point and time in the night will climb into my bed, even my 15 year old sometimes will, My 5 year old dd has been sick so right now she is propped on pillows on the couch so she can sleep without coughing but i know as soon as i go upstairs she will soon follow.. then tomorrow morning It will be time for me to get all three of them up and everyone out the door, the older girls to school, the five year old to my moms till she goes to preschool if she goes tomorrow. and my self to work for the day...
