Ok , like everybody else on the New Year i always do the same thing and have done it again this time too . I went on a diet, so far so good . Dont know how much ive lost but working on it .
I am using daddy,s diabetic diet sheet to help me make choices ect. Also learning about exchanges ect. Have been using smaller portions and trying to eat about every 2-4 hr , and trying to make it healthy too . Have cut out potato chips , soda ( pretty much ,down to 1 a week ) candy ( 1 a month ) and trying to get to where i can watch people eat dessert w/o wanting some . I did this once before and it worked ! Granted i was alot younger than 55 yrs old !
I am taking my fluid pills at least every other day ( dr idea ) and am trying to walk someplace every day unless its freezing out then i stay in a nd dance when no ones home . That is my exercise routine .
I have also started cooking differnt foods at least once a week. I try to make something that has lots of veggies and we,ve never had it before , still make the old classics as well . I try to have 1c ( yes i use measureing cup ) of a starch on my plate then load up rest w/ veggies ect. also sm amount of meat and have cut down on sugar and love to make my own stuff cause then can watch salt intake .
Just have to start seeing results when i put something on that was skin tight last month and now fits better this month that and get my stomach off my thighs !! I hope whoever reads this can use my stradegy and hopefully get somewhere with what they are trying to do to make them selves feel better .
