ok so a little background 1st. i have 3 kids, ages 2.5yr(gabe) 1.5yr(noah) and 11wks(alexis). CPS came in our lives 2.5yrs ago becuase of back rent issues. up untill this past summer things were going good. last summer gabe bit noah while he was sitting his jumperoo(never cryed out). we right away put gabe in time out and explained to him that biteing was not nice. he stoped. then this past december it was discovered gabe was biting again, only this time not frount of us, he was being sneaky about it. we had found bruising on noah's arm (again noah never cryed out). and then noah was burnt on a faulty base bord heater(we did not know at the time it was faulty) noah loves to get out of his bed (he is in a toddler bed) and sleep on the floor. he did that on the night he got burnt. he never cryed out untill he had recived a 2nd degree burn. u may ask didnt he cry out? the answer is no he never cryed out till it was a 2nd degree burn. i called 911 right away and got him to the hosp via ambulance. because of all this our worker filed a cps report claiming neglect. we called our landlord and then discovered AFTER he had been burnt that the heater was defultive. the landlord showed us how the fins were bent and touchin the protective frount of the heater. he explain it was this that was causeing the heater on a medium settign to become super heated in the area where the fins touched. our workers claim we should have checked the heater. um who the hell thinks to check a base bord heater?!?!?!?! they r not supposed to get so hot that they burn!!!!!! so we went to court where we were ordered to get mental health evals, go to parenting classes, keep our kids door open at all times, not allow the in there together while awake, and for us to be awake at all time that they are. well on jan 26th they came for a vist at 8:15 in the morning, needless saying waking us all up. i had gotten up that morning at 5:30 to pee and there door was still open, but when i went to wake them up at 8:15 the door had gotten closed. then i open the door and both kids are still laying in bed covered up and rubbing there eyes. i tell them its time to get up and to come on out and leave. all this time r worker is standing at the frount door. i walk back out and the work walks to there room. in the time i had walked to the living room noah had put something small in his mouth(later relized it was part of the blinds and removed them right away). so that prompted our worker to file a "violation of complience" on us. how am i suppose to keep them from closeing the door while i was asleep? someone obvoulsy had gotten up, closed the door and went back to bed WHILE I WAS ASLEEP!!!!. since this we have removed anything small form there room, took the door off and the blinds down. we go to court the 15th and the judge will hear aruments and decied weather or not to take my sweet angels. i am so scared and i dont know what i would do with out my kids. CPS is happy with all the improvements and the law gardiean says he hates removing kids unless nesscaery. both my boys are devlopmently delayed (cognativly, speech and ot) and removing them would kill them. they thrive on a very stric rutine. and to top it off there is suspstion that Noah may have PDD. this is the reason why he never crys out when he is hurt, he has major sensory issues. i am scared and lost at how i have neglected my kids and i know my boys would shut down and stop talking and become even more delayed if they were to be taken from me. and myself i would become extreamly depressed. if you have gotten threw this thank you for reading and please i need support and prayers that my kids are not removed from my care on the 16th thanks so much for reading

Sounds like CPS around you is way too damn picky. Why were they first ever even called to your house?
Many prayers and hugs to you and your family. Im so sorry your family is going through this.
nanaanddsmoma...they 1st came in to help us budget our money after becomeing benhind on rent
Although when people report people that are really abusing their children CPS does nothing about it and the kids end up hurt, or worse. They let these abusers keep their kids. Yet when someone like yourself who loves their kids, they be all bully like. Im sorry you have to go through this.
I hate to say this, but any parent or anybody who has young children SHOULD ALWAYS CHECK ANY KIND OF HEATER. We have a heater in my 4 year old son's room and we check it frequently throughout the night. Also, if your child is getting out of his toddler bed, then he shouldn't be in a toddler bed without rails or in a different kind of bed. Also, find a way to keep thier doors open. I hope you don't lose your children, but seriously, why would you not check a baseboard heater when you know your child likes to get out of his bed and sleep on the floor. I really hope you do get to keep your children because CPS needs to focus on families who have actually abused thier children.
I really hope you keep your kids. You must be terrified.
Baseboard or free standing heaters are very dangerous. I'm sorry your heater was damaged/defective. I don't see that incident as cause for removing your children, and I hope a judge feels the same way.
Siblings biting and babies finding small objects to put in their mouths is so common. It happens very frequently and is not abuse or neglect.
I have to disagree with the comment that your child should be in a different kind of bed if he's getting up. I put my 17-month-old in a toddler bed without rails because I was worried that he'd break his arm or collar bone climbing out of his crib. If the sides of a crib don't contain a child, neither will bed rails. I put a tall baby gate in our hallway and left both bedroom doors open. The way our house was, if my son got up and left his room, my room was right across the hallway, and the only place he could go. Some parents put a gate across their child's bedroom door to keep them safe while still being able to hear them if they wake up.
Obviously, you're trying to do your best. Make sure you have documentation supporting everything, as well as changes you've made to keep the kids safer.
