After much research I'm even more mad at my MIL

 Last month my sons pediatrician diagnosed him with having eczema. He had only broke out in the rash once before the diagnosis. That was after he had stayed with MIL. The second case of his eczema also occurred when he was staying with MIL. Today I was at my Aunt's house for my cousin's birthday party and I noticed that my son had the rash again. I thought about what he had eaten and it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. So I tried to think what my MIL's house had in common with my Aunt's, the answer was cats. So when I got home I did a bunch of research on eczema and found out that cat dander can be a trigger for eczema. That alone upset me, but what made me the most angry was when I read the rest of the triggers. The ones that stood out were cigarette smoke, bath soap, house dust and peanut butter. While my MIL babysat my son she bathed him EVERYDAY in strawberry scented body wash, she fed him peanut butter for almost EVERY meal, her house is extremely dirty and dusty and her 27 year old son who still lives with her smokes like a chimney. So basically her house is full of triggers. When I told her about the rash after she dropped him of to me she immediately blamed it on my Mom's house(which was where I was staying at the time after my C-section). Now I have proof that MIL's nasty house is the cause of his rash. He almost never gets the rash unless he has been there or in contact with her. Ugh, she's like a big know it all too and thinks she knows everything and is always researching stuff. I wonder why she didn't figure this one out. From now on if she wants to see the kids she has to come here or meets us somewhere. Her house is making my son sick. DH is probably going to be all pissed when I tell him, but I'm not going to make my son suffer for her.

Thank for posting this, i never thought to research triggers for egzmea, My son had it too, and its horrible, he itches all the time, i am constantly rubbing him in lotion. He eats peanut butter like its goin out of style, i will have to cut back on that.
