Explore the Breath, Relax the Mind - 3/6/11 @ 2:30-4pm - Use the breath to achieve a state of stillness of body and mind.


Pranayama: The Yogic Breath - 3/27/11 @ 2:30-4pm - Breath awareness is central to yoga practice. Understand and experience the effects of different breathing practices, such as Three Part Breath & Nadi Sodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing).


Basic Meditation Techniques - 4/3/11 @ 2:30-4pm - Learn the basic anatomy of energy systems and their effect on the mind, breath, and emotions. Explore the principle concepts of the practice, and experience several seated practice sessions.

 

Meditation in Action - 4/10/11 @ 2:30-4pm - Further explore the psychological benefits of meditation. Learn to integrate mindfulness, concentration, and objectivity of the mind into your practice as you apply meditation practices in every day life.


Overcoming Obstacles - 4/17/11 @ 2:30-4pm - As you put meditation strategies into practice, learn to recognize the symptoms and obstacles on the yoga path as well as solutions to overcoming obstacles. Discuss the value of equanimity and the importance of letting go of attachment.
