So I guess I have been having really bad panic attacks for a few weeks now. I am tensed up and I am so sore. I would like to know what I can do. Back rubs are out and I would soak but the tub scares me and our shower only runs warm water due to the pipes having low water pressure. So what else can I do?
I hate this. No one told me if I began to detense I would hurt more.

Just wondering here :) Why are back rubs out? What is it about the tub scares you? Both would help you. Like the above comment heating pad does help. But I gotta say I am wondering about the other 2 things, the back rubs & the tub. Either way good luck. Hope something works for ya.
Because of my panic attacks I am scared of taking a bath, I am working through this. as for back rubs I also may have fibro and rubbibg can really hurt.
If you are de-tensing, I would recommend LOTS of water. As you relax and release the tension in your muscles, it allows the toxins in your muscles to be released as well. So LOTS of water to flush them out. Also, keep moving to keep the muscles supple and relaxed. If you can't lounge in a hot bath, then try wrapping up in a cozy blanket somewhere comfy with a good book, some hot tea and some scented candles. Hope you are feeling better soon!
