Just a vent

I am a big Jeff Gordon fan and receive updates from his Facebook page on mine. There was a post about him appearing on the Ellen Degeneres show on March 25th (yay!!). 

Well you should have seen some of the comments made about it. There were people saying they would not watch her because she is a lesbian, or saying Jeff shouldn't be on there because people will think he is gay and he can't be a Christian leader and be on her show. One guy stated that her lifestyle is wrong and Christians need to stand up about it! 

I've had other people that I know personally that won't watch her show for the same reason and they don't want to give her the ratings.

This just really irritates me!! Why? Because (and I stated this in one of my responses) I wonder, those who refuse to watch her show simply because she is a lesbian- do they check out the lifestyle of every single actor and actress of every television show or movie that they watch??? I'm sure there are more gay and lesbian actors out there than they realize and they are probably watching shows and movies with them in them! 

Also, what about the other "immoral" lifestyles? Why is it that Ellen's lifestyle is soooooo much more worse than someone elses? Why is her being in a committed relationship to one person so much worse than the actor who has been married 5 times, and now has a mistress on the side and children with different women (as an example). It's ok to watch a show or movie with him in it just because he isn't gay??? Sorry, that just does not make sense to me!!! 

I just don't get this attitude. I guess homosexual people are just supposed to go in hiding and not ever come out in public and have any type of job or anything. And if  you aren't going to watch Ellen for the simple fact that she is lesbian, then you better start checking out every other actor and actresses lifestyle! 

As for me, a Christian, I will continue watching Ellen!! I love her- she's funny, her show is fun and she does a lot of great things for people on it.
