I have decided to do the 4 hour body diet and exercises along with my military workouts and see how much fat/weight I can lose in about 90 days.
I am going to follow the slow carb diet which has 5 rules.
1. No white foods except cauliflower.
2. Eat the same few meals for simplicity. Including only protein, legumes and vegetables.
3. Don't drink your calories. Only 16 oz of artificially sweetened drinks per day, only 2spoons of cream and 2 glasses of Red wine is allowed.
4. No fruit except tomatoes and avacado and the latter only once per day.
5. Take one day off every week. I'm going to make mine Saturday.
I got this information from the book The 4 Hour Body by Timothy Ferriss. Some of the other things he adds are that lemon and cinnamon slows down digestion a bit so I am going to see how I can add these to my diet as well. I am thinking of a 16 oz glass of green tea with lots of lemon sweetened with a smidge of honey or perhaps some coffee with creamer and some cinnamon sprinkled on it. We will have to see.
As for EXERCISE.
Kettle Bell- the swing,
Bosu Ball- myotatic crunch,
Cardio- rowing,eliptical or biking
He says you can lose 20lbs in 30 days without exercise but I am in the Navy and no exercise is not an option so I am going to do the eliptical, rowing and the bike for cardio along with the couple of miles of walking/marching I do daily and use the kettlebells and the Bosu ball for ab workouts.
I'll add on to the workouts as I go along but this is enough to start off with.
