The closer my  youngest son gets to age 4, the funnier he is.  I see his personality shine through more and more each day, and his thought process and understanding of words, phrases, and situations astound me.

Today I gave him his favorite breakfast- oatmeal.  But I mixed some applesauce in it both to cool it down, and to add some additional nutrition since he turns his nose up at fruit.   Well, my sneaky tactic didn't work.  He smelled the difference in his oatmeal and refused to eat it.  When I asked him what was wrong, he told me "You ruined my oatmeal."

The other night I told him it was time to brush his teeth and get ready for bed.  He responded with " Hold on Mommy, I just have to do one more thing!"

My step daughter asked my husband if she could move back in with us.  We had a family meeting with our boys  to see how they would feel about this since it would mean some changes to sharing rooms, among other issues.  Our 3 year old said "She has to stay at Nana's house because she is a mean sister" "She won't let me watch Nick Jr., and she eats all my popcorn"

Sigh.... His brain is growing up faster than his body!
